Top QC officials among QCPD honoreesPIA NCR (November 24) -Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte will lead individuals and organizations who will receive citations for their invaluable support to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) during its 71st Foundation Anniversary today, November 25 at Camp Karingal.
In today's event with the theme “Serbisyong Huwarang Bayan sa paggunita ng 71 taon ng matuwid at matapat na paglilingkod sa mamamayan ng Lungsod Quezon,” Bautista and Belmonte will be feted for their continuing support to the operation of QCPD in terms of logistics and financial matters that contribute to the organization’s success and good performance in combating crimes and criminals in the city.
Aside from Mayor Bautista and Vice Mayor Belmonte, secretary to the mayor and head of Novaliches District Center (NDC) Tadeo Palma will also be recognized for his contribution and support in police operations against illegal vendors in Novaliches.
The QC government’s public relations and information arm, the Public Affairs and Information Services Office (PAISO) headed by Gregorio Bañacia will also be among the recipients of special recognition for its effort in bringing QCPD closer to the people for its intensified coverage on QCPD activities, particularly for a strong partnership with the community.
Other individuals who will also be recognized are Pastor Alberto Genon of the Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach; Carlito Bernardino, chairman of Barangay Bagbag; Eduardo Villareal, EX-O, Barangay Security Development Officer (BSDO) of Barangay Bagbag; and Albert Lagman, President of Association of Quezon City Homweowners Incorporated (AQCHI).
Among the government and non-government organizations that will receive special recognition are the Quezon City Council led by Vice Mayor Belmonte; SOROPTIMIST International of Quezon City led by Dra. Abelsenia A. Noche; Peace and Action and Rescue with Dedication to Serve the Society (PARDDS) led by Romeo P. Constantino Jr.; Citizen’s Crime Watch (CCW) led by William A. Cruz; Citizen Communication Netwrok Phils. Inc, led by Eugene T. De Peralta; Centennial Transport Service Association Inc led by Danilo A. Ramos; Araneta Center Business Association led by Rene B. De La Cruz; and QCPD Press Corps led by Almar Danguilan.
Police units and officers will also be given due recognition for their exemplary performance in the fulfillment of its sworn duty and responsibility.
Among the units to be awarded are the Talipapa Police Station (PS-3) - Best Police Station of the Year; District Personnel & Human Resource Development Division (DPHRDD) – Best Administrative Unit of the Year; Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) – Best Operational Support Unit of the Year; and QCPD Crime Laboratory – Best Administrative Support Unit of the Year.

Felicisima Buco – Policewoman of the Year (PCO Category); PO2 Joanna Santos – Policewoman of the Year (PNCO Category); SPO4 Oliver Baladjay – Senior PNCO of the Year (Administrative); SPO2 Arman Rosario – Senior PNCO of the Year (Operational); PO3 Roderick Calleja – Junior PNCO of the Year (Administrative); PO2 Richard Permejo – Junior PNCO of the Year (Operational); SPO1 Primo Jamisolamin – Investigator of the Year (Administrative); PO3 Honey Besas – Investigator of the Year (Operational); P/SInsp.
