Tagalog news: PDRRMC-South Cotabato lalong pinalakas ang sistema sa disaster monitoring at response

KORONADAL CITY, Ene. 4 (PIA) - Patuloy ang ginagawang monitoring ng Provincial Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) ng South Cotabato sa gitna ng namataang Low Pressure Area base sa forecast Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) sa sakop ng South Cotabato.

Binalaan na rin ng konseho ang mga lokal na pamahalaan na maging handa sa lahat ng oras dahil sa inaasahang paparating na ulan ayon sa PAGASA.

Ayon kay PDRRMC chief Isidro Janita, kailangan umanong tuluy-tuloy ang pagbabantay ng PDRRMC at ng mga bayang sakop nito at ng Lungsod ng Koronadal upang maiwasan ang malaking pinsala na maaaring maidulot ng malakas na pag-ulan sa mga darating na araw.

Inatasan na rin umano ng PDRRMC, ayon kay Janita ang lahat ng mga pamahalaang lokal na magsagawa ng mga hakbang at paghahanda sakaling dumating ang malakas na ulan.

Sinabi rin ni Janita na regular din ang kanilang pagbibigay ng weather advisory sa mga lokal na pamahalaan upang sa lahat ng oras ay kanilang alam kung ano ang nangyayari sa kanilang palibot.

Base sa huling advisory ng PAGASA, makakaranas ng makulimlim na panahon ang ilang bahagi ng Mindanao na may pakalat-kalat na pag-ulan. Inaasahan din ang matinding pag-ulan na maaari umanong sanhi ng flashfloods at landslides, ayon sa taya ng PAGASA. (ac agad PIA12)
