Cebuano News: DBM nagpagawas og P680M alang sa MMDA nga mga prohekto

MANILA, Jan 5 –- Ang Department of Budget and Management (DMB) nagpagawas og P680 milyones aron sa paghatag og pinansyal nga panginahanglan alang sa urban renewal nga programa sa Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

Si Budget and Management Secretary Florencio Abad mipahayag nga, “there’s no let-up in President (Benigno Aquino’s (III) drive for urban renewal.”

“This fund release will help MMDA implement critical projects that seek to clean the metropolis and its waterways, and to establish a safe environment for Metro Manila’s inhabitants,” matud niya.

Gitumbok nga ang P295.6 milyones alang sa alokasyon pagagamiton alang sa pagtukod sa usa ka pumping nga estasyon diha sa baba sa Salapan Creek sa San Juan City aron sa paghatag og kasulbaran diha sa pagbaha sa haduol nga mga balangay og sa Quezon City.

Si Abad mipahayag nga ang mga galastohan alang sa relokasyon sa mga impormal nga lumulupyo nga nagpuyo diha sa giplano nga pumping station paga-abagahon sa National Housing Authority (NHA) og sa hingtungdan nga mga local nga pangagamhanan.

Ang kantidad nga P154.4 milyones pagagamiton alang sa Phase I nga pagtukod sa flood control og sa traffic management nga mga prohekto palibot sa metro, samtang P230 milyones mag-sulbad sa mga kakulang diha mga balayranan alang sa paglabog sa basura.

“This, together with MMDA’s supplemental budget of P220 million and its remaining available cash balance of P500 million, will address the total funding deficiency of P943.6 million for years 2010 and 2011,” matud ni Abad. (Translated by esg/PIA SoLeyte)
