Gov pushes major reforms on good governance, socio-economic devt, peace and securityCOTABATO CITY, Jan. 5 (PIA) -- Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao OIC-Gov. Mujiv S. Hataman will focus on three major reforms in the region.
These are good governance, socio-economic development and peace and security, said ARMM executive secretary Atty. Anwar Malang in yesterday’s regular weekly press briefing.
With regards to the appointments of various officers-in-charge of line agencies, only Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has been appointed with a secretary.
Other agencies are temporarily assigned to caretakers who are officials with permanent positions, Malang explained.
“Upon the appointment of department heads those caretakers will relinquish their positions to the Hataman appointees,” he said.
“As far as the-24-member of the ARMM Regional Legislative Assembly (RLA) is concerned, it will be President Benigno Aquino III who will appoint them. Nobody has been appoint to the Assembly as of today," Malang added.
Hataman has also ordered some changes regarding the employees in the regional center.
Among the basic reforms being enforced among employees of the Office of the Regional Governor, is attendance to flag raising ceremony every Monday morning and flag retreat every Friday afternoon.
Employees are also required to log in via the bundy clock every time they arrive or leave the office.
An inventory of all regular positions has been done to professionalize the delivery of office service and to assign works to the right civil servants.
Key positions in the Office of the Regional Governor, like the executive secretary, chief of staff, attorney-general and head of the Bureau of Public Information (BPI) have been filled-up, Malang said. (Moner C. Dayaan—PIA Cotabato City)
