Nueva Vizcaya gov vows support for PNPby Ben Moses Ebreo
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, January 6 (PIA) –- Governor Luisa Cuaresma has promised more assistance for the Philippine National Police (PNP) in a bid to inspire policemen and to improve the peace and order situation of the province.
Cuaresma made the commitment in a year-end meeting
with PNP chiefs at the provincial capitol here.
She reiterated her commitment to help the police force in its drive against criminality and anti-insurgency activities, programs and projects.
“We want to improve your stations so that you will be inspired to work harder for peace and development in the province,” she said.
Aside from sustaining their anti-criminality campaign, Cuaresma also encouraged policemen to guard various projects of the local and national governments “and see to it that these will not be destroyed” by undisciplined persons.
She said noble projects especially those needed by the public should be maintained, preserved and guarded as these are built to benefit the taxpayers.
Cuaresma also underscored the need to sustain police visibility and prevent the entry of communist rebels in various villages in the province.# (TCB/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
