Role SAN FERNANDO CITY, Jan. 10 (PIA) -- A total of 628 examinees successfully passed the Career Service Examination (Professional and Sub-Professional levels) administered by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region 1 on October 16, 2011. The passers make up 10 percent of the 6,274 examinees who took the examination in the four test centers in the region, namely, Dagupan City and Urdaneta City in Pangasinan, San Fernando City in La Union, Vigan City in Ilocos Sur and Laoag City in Ilocos Norte. Out of the 628 passers, 476 or 10.04 percent were examinees for the professional level, and the remaining 152 or 9.93 percent were sub-professional level examinees. According to Marichu Cuison, Senior Personnel Specialist and designated information officer of the CSC, Ilocos Norte got the highest passing rate with 12.92 percent, or 112 passers out of the 867 examinees in the province; followed by La Union with 12.54 percent out of the 1,252 examinees. Apili of Vigan City for the professional level ranking number 10 with 87.45 percent rating, and Donna Strella P. monreal of Caoayan, Ilocos Sur for the sub-professional level ranking number 7 with 86.18 percent rating. Other professional level passers that made it to the top ten rank in the region include Ariel C. Calub (Urdaneta City), 87.08; John Patrick M. Dizon (Dagupan City), 86.90; Val Raph S. Velasquez (Bayambang, Pangasinan), 86.61; Jenny Anne Grace B. Redaus (San Juan, Ilocos Sur), 86.50; Raziel Mae R. Pascual (Laoag City), 86.30; Ailein Grace L. Braganza (San Fernando City), 86.24; Jose Miguel G. Agonoy (Bangui, Ilocos Norte), 86.13; Kenbert C. Abuluyan (San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte), 85.80; and Josie Marie C. Idos(Calasiao, Pangasinan), 85.59. For the subprofessional level, Chrisabel C. Vinluan (Caoayan, Ilocos Sur), 85.84; Ana Angelita R. Castillo (Mangaldan, Pangasinan), 84.60; Beverly R. Negrillo (Dagupan City), 84.46; Mary Frances D. Legaspi (Calasiao, Pangasinan), 84.41; Liezl A. HeraÑa (Sta. Lucia, Ilocos Sur), 84.36; Ian Greg D. Tapac (Laoag City), 84.19; Gretel A. Ines (Asingan, Pangasinan), 84.13; Frances Jocelle C. Singson (Cabugao, Ilocos Sur), 83.90; and Maynard S. Alviarne (San Fernando City), 83.68 made it to the top ten regional awardees. Certificates of eligibility will be awarded to the new passers on the following schedules: Professional level for the La Union and Pangasinan passers is on January 10 in the morning and for the Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte passers will be in the afternoon. Subprofessional level passers will be receiving their certificates of eligibility on January 12 in the morning. The Professional and Subprofessional eligibles can be appointed to second level and first level positions, respectively, in the government that are not covered by Bar, Board or other special laws, provided that they meet the education, experience and training requirements of the position being applied for. Moreover, applications for the career service examinations scheduled on May 27 is accepted from February 27 until April 12 only in any CSC offices nationwide. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of application; Filipino citizen of good moral character and with no criminal record nor convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude; and have not taken the same examination in less than 3 months. The examination is open to all qualified applicants regardless of educational attainment. All interested applicants are advised to visit the CSC website, or any CSC office for the application form, requirements, and other information regarding the said examination.
