Lagawe LGU schedules Friday afternoon activities for employeesby Vency D. Bulayungan
LAGAWE, Ifugao, Jan. 10 (PIA) -- The local government unit (LGU) here has scheduled activities for the employees to participate every Friday afternoon in effort to break the monotony of work routine and to keep employees alert and fit.
In a memorandum to all employees, Mayor Ceasario Cabbigat said that as part of human resource development, the LGU came up with innovative activities wherein employees in all levels can participate.
For the first Friday of the month at 3:00 PM to 5:00PM, employees will have an information sharing and this will be spearheaded by Concepcion Lacadin, the Municipal Human Resource Management Officer. The activities include re-echo of those who attended trainings/seminar-workshops or meetings; Information Education Campaign (IEC) from other agencies/NGOs.
For the second Friday, the activities which will be conducted from 3:00-5:00PM are sports, taebo/taichi exercises and hataw which will be led by Cherryl Bumanghat, the Municipal Planning and Development Officer and Mr. Marcelo Banahn of the Municipal Agriculture Office.
For the third Friday, the activities will be cultural enhancement such as learning and enhancement of dancing the native dances, learning and enhancement of beating the native gongs per specific dance.
For the fourth Friday of the month, a civic action and birthday celebration will be taken care of by the General Services Office (GSO) and Engineering and the preceding month celebrators.
During these activities, there shall be a skeletal force in every department who shall man the office in order not to hamper official transactions/services to the public, Cabbigat said. (JDP/VDB-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
