26 women benefit from DOLE’s livelihood program
SILAGO, Southern Leyte, Jan 12 (PIA) -- A total of 26 women members of the Puntana Women's Nature Club received P256,720 to be used for High Value Vegetable Production Project here.

The recipients are the first in the Silago municipality, said DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) Communications officer Virgilio A. Doroja Jr.
With the use of modern mulching technology, the beneficiaries of the vegetable production are expected to produce high quality and healthy ampalaya, egg plants, tomatoes, melons, okra, sweet pepper, and some other vegetables.
Doroja also bared that as the accredited co-partner of DOLE in the implementation of the project, the LGU is required to release 20 percent of the project cost and is expected to monitor the progress of the project. (PIA-8)
