Bulayungan LAGAWE, Ifugao,Jan. 12 (PIA)--The local government unit (PLGU) of Ifugao envisions the province to become a center of professional service. Claire Calingayan, PLGU information officer, said in the “Humangan with PIA” radio program that the provincial government makes it a point to work closely with national agencies such as the Professional Regulatory Commission and the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in connection to the PLGU’s labor mismatching scholarship trainings. The PLGU invited the PRC in Baguio to bring their services here on February 15-16, 2012. This is an opportunity for local professionals to apply or renew their license to cut on expenses in going outside the province for the said purpose. The PRC had been bringing its services to the province and it has been observed that clients especially teachers coming from the municipalities flocked to the capitol building to avail of these services. For the labor mismatching scholarship trainings, Calingayan averred that there are scholarship trainings being conducted by TESDA such as welding which is on going. There are 15 participants in said training. Other scholarship trainings are masonry and carpentry with 15 trainees each. Calingayan said that said trainings are conducted free of charge at TESDA-Lagawe and the counterpart of the trainee is food and lodging.
