Ramos was guest of honor during the celebration of the Lingayen Gulf Landings anniversary and Pangasinan Veterans’ Day on January 9 at the Veterans Memorial Park here. In his message yesterday, he stressed every Pangasinense should honor the heroism, valor, and sacrifice of the World War II veterans. He also reminded the people to set forth and prepare for the "third invasion," that is the hosting once more of the Palarong Pambansa in May. He said unity of purpose and solidarity among the people will make the event successful. He ended his message with high hopes for Pangasinan and its people. He also proposed a new battlecry for the province. From being known as the place with 3Bs – bangus, bagoong, and bukayo (milkfish, fish paste, and sweetened coconut shreds); he suggested focusing on Penta (five) Ts which are teamwork, tourism, teaching, technology, and total performance of public officials.
