DPWH to continue road repairs in EDSA, Araneta Avenueby Jell E. Guzman
QUEZON CITY, Jan. 12 (PIA) –- After the holiday rush, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is now back on track as road repairs continue this weekend.
The DPWH-National Capital Region Office announced Thursday, January 12, that road repair, maintenance, and improvement works in some portions of EDSA in Quezon City and along Araneta Avenue beginning Friday, January 13 until Monday, January 16.
In a release by the DPWH, motorists and the public can expect traffic slowdown and build-up in some major thoroughfares in Metro Manila.
Motorists are also advised to take note of affected areas and possible alternate routes:
Araneta Avenue, from Aurora Boulevard to Ladargun St., 4th lane from center island. Alternate route, take Hemady Doña Juana Rodriguez St. and Betty Go-Belmonte St.
EDSA, Quezon City, southbound going to Quezon Avenue, 2nd lane between MRT North Avenue Station to Quezon Avenue; and Commonwealth Avenue-Zuzuaregui to Commonwealth Market, 3rd lane between Feria Road and Ilang-Ilang northbound and 4th lane southbound near km. 16
The road repairs and maintenance is made possible in cooperation with the Quezon City First Engineering District Office and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
