Lumaque ROXAS CITY, Capiz, Jan. 12 (PIA) -- The Roxas City government has set up a one-stop shop at the lobby of the City Hall here since January 2 to make the renewal and processing of business permits easy and accessible. Gerry T. Pagharion of the Roxas City Press Bureau (RCPB) said that the this was done to help businessmen beat the January 20 deadline for the processing of business permits. A faster processing of business requirements provides an enabling business environment and encourages the growth of business sector in the city. Applications forms are now assigned with control numbers where applicants are advised to reproduce the forms in four copies for submission to concerned major department whose stamp of approval is needed, Pagharion noted. Concerned offices can then simultaneously process the application forms. The city’s business-friendly measure complements its Expanded Investment Incentives Code (RCEIIC) which offers great investment packages that will convince investors to put up businesses here. The new code aims to provide legal framework and mechanism for integrating investment incentives laws of the national government with local initiatives. It also intends to promote the growth of all priority businesses including small, medium, and large enterprises, thus, transforming the city's undeveloped and underdeveloped areas into realms for economic activities and development.
