DepEd Media Advisory: K4 Launching

  • Remarks:The Department of Education (DepEd) and Dynamic Teen Company (DTC) will formally launch the K4 Outreach Program, an out of the box delivery of educational services to marginalized urban learners.

    K4, developed by DTC, uses kariton (pushcart) as a klasrum (classroom), klinik (clinic) and kantin (canteen) to seek out the return of street children, out-of-school children, child laborers and drop-outs to the formal schooling system in order to complete their basic education. As such, it will carry with it educational materials, a simple medical care kit and food to be shared to the learners after the learning session.
