CALABARZON products on exhibit at the DTI-BDT in Makati

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, January 13 (PIA) ---Starting January 16, products of Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal – “Calabazon’s Pride” will be exhibited at the Bureau of Domestic Trade showroom, ground floor, trade and industry building, 361 Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue in Makati City.

Billed the Calabarzon mini exhibit which is jointly initiated by the Department of Trade and Industry in Calabarzon (DTI-IVA), the Bureau of Domestic Trade (DTI-BDT), and the Rizal Exporters and Manufacturers Association, Inc. (REMAI), the exhibit highlights special settings of provincial festivities as monthly themes.

Setting off in February will be the ‘Pahimis Festival’ of Cavite; in March, it would be ‘La Laguna Festival’; ‘Batangas Alah, Eh! Festival will be set in April. Quezon’s ‘Pahiyas’ will be featured in May, while in June, it’s Rizal’s Higantes Festival.’

Leading the lineup of items for sale are food products – banana chips, muscovado sugar, coffee, choco-coated polvoron, crispy squid rings, dried mussels organic and natural food; health, wellness and beauty products; arts and crafts; and footwear, bags and novelty items made of water lily.

Selling at the mini fair will run until June 30.

Aside from other services and interventions for enterprise development, the DTI continuously provides marketing assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises through facilitating and organizing trade fairs and exhibits so that products will be exposed to more buyers and wider markets thereby increasing incomes and generating jobs particularly in the countryside.
