Marijuana bricks found inside traveling bagby Larry Lopez
TABUK, Kalinga, Jan. 13(PIA)-- Police operatives manning a check-point, here, took custody of a black traveling bag containing 11 dried marijuana bricks that was abandoned on a seat inside a bus coming from Bontoc, Mt. Province en-route to this city.
Police turned over the contraband to the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at the police provincial headquarters. PDEA said the illegal drugs has Dangerous Drugs Board value of P275,000. No suspect was arrested.
This is the second bust operation, this week, by the police in the province on illegal drugs, after the interception of 125 dried marijuana bricks, last Monday. The contrabands are believed to be transported to other places passing through Tabuk.
Meanwhile, the police said a case has been filed at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office against Alex Banner, suspect in the Monday apprehension of 125 dried marijuana bricks for violation of the Anti-Dangerous Drugs Act. (LL-PIA CAR,Kalinga)
