GonzagaBATANGAS CITY, Jan 14 (PIA) -- Meller Ali, engineer of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Batangas reported the release last year of P37.5 million for the construction of farm-to-market roads (FMRs) in Batangas. Ali said, the construction of the roads will start immediately after the the Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the preparatory works. Soon, the farmer-recipients of the FMRs will expedite the transportation of their products in the local market as well as the in neihboring towns. (CPG, PIA-4A with report from DAR-Batangas) A large part of the budget has been earmarked for the following: Barangay Caretonan, Calatagan, P3 million; Barangay Capito, Lian P1 million; Barangay Bundukan P1 million, and Reparo P2 million both of Nasugbu; Barangay Putol, Tuy P2 million; Barangay Lucban P1 million and P2 million for Barangay Putol, Balayan; Barangay Calantas, P1 million and Lumbang na Matanda, P2 million both of Calaca; and Payapa Ilaya, Lemery P3 million. In the 2nd district, P2 million each for Barangays Balibago and Biga of Lobo; P2.5 million for Sto. Tomas-Laurel section phase I of Sto.Tomas, Mabini. For the 3rd district, Barangay Bangin, San Nicolas, P2.5 million while in the 4th district: Barangays Tangob, Sto. Toribio and Adya in Lipa City received P1 million each; Barangays Cawongan, Colongan and Bulihan of Rosario received P2 million each, and Barangay Munting Tubi, Ibaan P1.5 million.(CPG-PIA-4A with report from DAR-Batangas) |
