PIA Press Release Tuesday, January 17, 2012 Makati exec reminds taxpayers to make use of satellite payment centersby Jerome Carlo R. Paunan MAKATI CITY, Jan. 17 (PIA) -- Mayor Erwin S. Binay today urged realty taxpayers to make use of the convenient option of paying at the nearest satellite payment center instead of going to City Hall to settle their tax obligations. The local government has imposed a January 20 deadline for all real property tax payment in Makati City. Binay said taxpayers only need to present their previous receipt as each transaction takes a maximum of four minutes with an electronic receipt issued from computers installed by the city government at the barangay halls. The mayor said realty tax payments will be accepted in the barangays on the following dates: Guadalupe Nuevo and East Rembo, on January 17; and West Rembo and Pembo on January 18. All of the centers mentioned will accept payments from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The city's Business Permits Office has started working extended hours since Monday, and will continue to work overtime to accommodate clients as follows: January 17 to 20, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Likewise, to accommodate late payments, they will be open January 21 to 22, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm; January 23 to 27, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm; January 28 to 29, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; and January 30 to 31, 8:00 am to 7:30 pm.
