Ifugao BAS recruits contractual data collectorsby Vency D. Bulayungan
LAGAWE, Ifugao,Jan. 17 (PIA)--The Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS) here is recruiting contractual data collectors to assist in the conduct of the survey on ‘Characterizing Small Farmers of the Philippines’ in the province.
Provincial Agricultural Statistics Officer (PASO) Joseph Aclibon announced in the daily radio program, “PIA Hour” that their office is in need of 16 data collectors to cover the 16 barangays covered by this project.
Data collectors should be college graduates or college level who will cover barangays Posnaan and Ubao in Aguinaldo Town, Chumang and Poblacion in Mayoyao, Pullaan and Poblacion West of Lagawe; Batad and Amganad of Banaue; Northern Cababuyan and Namulditan of Hingyon; Nungulunan of Hungduan; Baguinge of Kiangan; Lawig and Pugol of Lamut; Namillangan of Alfonso Lista and Poblacion in Tinoc.
“The survey seeks to have a base data on small farmers and this will also provide a temporary employment to the unemployed young ones who are willing to undertake the survey,” Aclibon said.
The survey will start on January 23 to February 4 and all interested applicants are advised to attend a training on January 19, 2012 at the BAS Office here. (JDP/VDB- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
