PIA Press Release Tuesday, January 17, 2012 Provincial govt creates task force for ‘Gotad ad Ifugao 2012’by Mhars B Lihgawon LAGAWE, Ifugao, Jan. 17 (PIA) -- The provincial government has created a task force to plan for the celebration of the 46th anniversary of the province dubbed as “Gotad ad Ifugao 2012.” Governor Eugene Balitang said that for a smooth and successful anniversary celebration, there is a need to create the task force Gotad 2012 to plan the activities and oversee such activities. “The 2012 Gotad will be a time for Ifugaos to celebrate 46 years of being an independent province and it would be a showcase of Ifugao culture, tradition and practice,” he stated. The task force is chaired by Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Carmelita B. Buyuccan, with Provincial Agriculturist Raymundo G. Bahatan as vice – chair and Sangguniang Panlalawigan members James Frederick F. Dulnuan, Joseph J. Odan and Ronnel M. Gayamo as members. Balitang said the task force will plan the activities to be conducted during the gotad and submit a detailed report on the various activities planned to the Chief Executive for approval.More ever, the task force will recommend the various committees needed to be created to supervise or take charge of each activity and perform other function as maybe assigned.
