NSO conducts labor force survey in Leyte householdsby Neil D. Lopido
TACLOBAN CITY, Leyte, Jan 17 (PIA) -– A total of 1,251 households representing 90 sampled barangays in the province of Leyte are included in the January 2012 Labor Force Survey (LSF) conducted by the Leyte Provincial Statistics Office here.
In a press release, Wilma A. Perante, provincial statistics officer said that LSF is a survey of households conducted regularly to gather data on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population in Leyte.
The survey, which started January 8, is primarily geared towards estimation on the levels of employment and unemployment in the province.
For this particular survey, NSO is encouraging the public to cooperate as the data which will be gathered will be held strictly confidential and will not be used for purposes of taxation, investigation or enforcement procedure nor it will be published except in the form of statistical summaries in which no reference to any person shall appear.
