DOLE urges private employers to submit 13th month pay compliance reportby Oliver T. Baccay
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Jan. 17 (PIA) -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) region 2 has urged private employers to submit compliance report on the release of 13th month pay of their employees last December.
Grace Y. Ursua, regional director, issued a public announcement to the media asking the private employers to deliver the compliance report at the field offices in their respective provinces.
She said the submission of the said report is in compliance with Presidential Decree (PD) 851 otherwise known as the 13th Month Pay Law which mandates all private establishments to give 13th month pay to their employees as their Christmas bonus.
We need to validate whether the employers have given the benefits of their employees as provided in the law, Ursua stated.
She also reiterates that employers who will not submit report and those who did comply with the provisions of law without valid reasons will be charged with violation of the decree.
All queries may be asked to the field officer through the following numbers; Cagayan- 844-5516, Isabela- 624- 0121, Nueva Vzacaya- 321-4009 and Quirino- 0916-370-6215. (TCB/OTB/PIA-2)
