GironLUCENA CITY, Quezon, January 17 (PIA) --- Sixty eight (68) police officers from different police stations in Quezon Province have completed the Criminal Investigation Course (CIC) offered by the Philippine National Police (PNP) to improve the investigation skills of police investigators. P/Sr. Supt. Ericson Velasquez said the continuous training on investigation and proper handling of evidences that will enhance the skills and knowledge of policemen in rendering service to the people. “With this kind of activity inside the police force, police officers could improve their duties as public servants that would strengthen the image and goals of PNP,” Velazquez added. Other participants included personnel of the Quezon Provincial Police Office (QPPO), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Quezon Maritime Group (QMG), Regional Training School IV-A and the Philippine Army (PA) and the Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM). “It is important that police investigators are knowledgeable on positions they occupied so that fairness and swift results can be achieved for the welfare of the people,” Velazquez said. Meanwhile, the Philippine Army remains a partner of PNP in conducting investigations, handling of evidences, conducting anti-insurgency campaigns and other police activities in the province.
