Red Cross running event to raise fund for PRC-Laguna

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna, Jan. 17 (PIA) -- The Red Cross Youth of UPLB is taking a big stride on January 22, 2012, Sunday, 5:30 AM by hosting its first ever charity running event with the theme, “Across Borders: Run for Red Cross, Run for a Cause,” at the UPLB Baker Hall with the help of our co-organizer Macrunners Sports. The proceeds of the event will support the Philippine Red Cross-Laguna Chapter (Red Cross Youth and Blood Services Departments) and the activities of the organization.

The said event features 10k, 5k and 3k races divided to students and open categories. The routes of the races will feature the levelled road of the UPLB campus and the steep and rough terrain of the Jamboree-Philippine High School for the Arts road going to PCCARD.

A registration booth is open from 4-7 pm, Monday to Sunday at the Baker Hall, UPLB for interested participants. On the other hand, online registration is already open at the organization’s facebook page

Across Borders: Run for Red Cross, Run for a Cause is a good venue for running enthusiasts who want to help campaign for humanity.
