Water pipe network upgrade benefits residents, businesses south of Manila
QUEZON CITY, Jan. 18 (PIA) –- Hundreds of residents from Pasay City all the way south, to the province of Cavite can now expect better water service as the Maynilad Water Services, Inc. recently upgraded its pipe network.
Maynilad personnel on Tuesday, January 17 replaced a valve at the Pasay Pumping Station that interconnects to the 600mm and 1,000 mm pipes along Tirona and Evangelista in Bacoor, Cavite.
According to Maynilad, aside from benefiting residents of Pasay and Cavite, the pipe network had also placed water lines in Parañaque and Las Piñas which is having its supply of fresh water for the first time in history.
Maynilad, a concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) currently serves customers in the West zone of the Greater Manila Area to include Manila (except San Andres and Sta. Ana), Quezon City (west of San Juan River, West Avenue, EDSA, Congressional, Mindanao Avenue, the northern part starting from the Districts of the Holy Spirit & Batasan Hills), Makati (west of South Super Hi-way), Caloocan, Pasay, Paranaque, Las Pinas, Muntinlupa, Valenzuela, Navotas and Malabon, and also some areas in the province of Cavite: Cavite City, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta and Rosario.
