Incentives to companies that hire Makati residents, hintedby Jerome Carlo R. Paunan
MAKATI CITY, Jan. 18 (PIA) -- The local government plans to give incentives to companies operating in the city that will hire residents to their rosters.
According to Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, a system is being devised by the local government to track companies that hire residents and grant them benefits such as tax incentives.
Binay said the plan would boost employment among residents and provide jobs especially to those qualified for the positions being offered.
The mayor, however, did not give the exact date of implementation for the plan.
In his State of the City Address (SOCA) before the Rotary Club of Makati at the Peninsula Manila recently, Binay acknowledged the important role of the private sector as a ‘partner in development towards a safer, healthier and world-class Makati.’ (ICRD/RJB/JCP-PIA NCR)
