Deped reiterates call for early registration of studentsCITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Jan. 18 (PIA) -- Parents and guardians are encouraged to enroll their incoming kindergarten, Grade 1 and first year high school students for the next school year for the early registration on Jan. 28.
Although the registration day is a Saturday, all public elementary and high schools will be opened to accommodate early registrants.
Department of Education (DepEd) Public Information Officer Erlie Blanco explained that the DepEd will determine the number of enrollees for the opening of classes in June. It will enable the agency to prepare its resources and respond to contingencies so there will be fewer problems to attend to when classes start, she said.
The out-of-school youth, who are encouraged to enroll in Alternative Learning System (ALS) classes and the physically disabled, to avail of Special Education (SPED), are also included in the early registration.
Early registration will ensure that everyone qualified to go to school is enrolled . (WLB/RGSD- PIA 3)
