DA, TESDA and OPA conduct training program on small engine servicing in Pagbilao

PAGBILAO, Quezon, Jan. 20 (PIA) -- The Office of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Department of Agriculture-Region 4-A, Office of the provincial agriculturist (OPA), Quezon and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) jointly conducted a training program on small engine servicing at Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS) training hall, this town on January 16-20.

Cristy Lucila of OPA-Quezon said the training aims to develop skills on engine servicing among farmers leader and agricultural extension workers in Quezon and develop their competencies to become trainers.

The training was participated in by farmers leaders and agricultural extension workers from the towns of Macalelon, San Francisco, Tayabas City, Panukulan, General Nakar, Buenavista, Real, Lucena City, Agdangan, Unisan, Dolores, Pitogo, Pagbilao, Calauag, Candelaria and Sariaya, Quezon.

Philip D. Acabado, TESDA accredited trainor was the resource speaker while the training management staff members were Marites P. Cosico, project officer at ATI RFU4A; Ma. Loredes S. Unson of TESDA and Cristina Lucila and Buenafe Cabriga of OPA, Quezon.

The training program was conducted also through the assistance and support of the provincial government of Quezon headed by Gov. David Suarez and the office of the provincial agriculture headed by provincial agriculturist Roberto Gajo. (Ruel Orinday, PIA- Quezon with report from Cristy Lucila-OPA, Quezon)
