PhilExport 4C Cavite chapter bares accomplishmentTRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite, Jan. 20 (PIA) -– The PhilExport 4C Cavite chapter recently revealed their 2011 highlights of actitivities aimed to continually address the needs of the exporters in this premier province and enhance cooperation between its members in export development.
The recent activities initiated by the Phil Export Cavite are the capability building seminars for all the members of this sector. This is to increase the exporters’ awareness on basics of exporting and documentation including enhancement of their skills in costing and pricing their products and prepare them in a more challenging competition.
They also conducted the First One Town One Product (OTOP) National Expo at the 5thfloor of the Megatrade Hall 1 and 2 at the SM Megamall. This was a five-day trade fair featuring the distinctive products and services of 272 ITOP enterprise nationwide aimed to heighten awareness of the OTOP program and to highlight the best of ITOP products.
Seven (7) OTOPs from Cavite joined the said fair. They are the Alfonso Tablea Producers Cooperative, Café’ Amadeo Development Cooperative, Carm Foods Enterprises, Delfa’s Food Products, Magallanes Women’s Club MPC, Mo. Bonifacia Rodriguez Foundation, Incorporated and Ocean Fresh Tahong Chips.
With regards to the so called “Client Profile Registration System (CPRS) and Electronic 2 Mobile (E2M) Customs System for Exports,” PhilExport Cavite in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry-Cavite conducted this vital seminar and briefing for exporters at the Luis Aguado Room at the De La Salle University in Dasmariñas City. The objective was to brief all the exporting companies for the new system (CPRS) of the Bureau of Customs (BoC) which was started last March 11, 2011 and completed last September of the same year.
On the E2M perspective, this system works fast and efficiently in terms of export transaction base of their respective export declaration (exporters). Likewise, this project aimed to enhance the BoC’s core and support ICT system nationwide and will streamline imports and exports processing and improve trade facilitation among BoC, other government agencies and its stakeholders.
The formal launching of the PhilExport Display Center at the First Cavite Industrial Estate located along Governor Drive in Barangay Langkaan in Dasmariñas City offered the best of their members’ products and services, making it a showroom for everyone to look forward.
According to Mr. Apolinar E. Aure, President of Philexport Cavite, this is the first ever Philexport Display Center to be held at the FCIE and he was grateful to the management of the FCIE that this was “the place we consider to be the heart of economic activities of the province.”
Lastly, was the launching of the PhilExport 4C Cavite website which was initiated by its president together with all the officers and members of the PhilExport 4C Cavite at the main conference room, administration hall of the First Cavite Industrial Estate (FCIE).
Among the benefits of the having a website is to gain larger clientele base, cost effective promotion and marketing, 24-hour global presence and many other advantages for its members. The cost of the said website was Php 32,000.00.
ThePhilExport 4C Cavite Chapter is the umbrella organization of accredited exporters in Cavite under the Export Development Act (EDA) of 1994. It is a regional chapter of PhilExport national and is mandated to support the Cavite export industry through various export promotions, development and support programs.
