PIA Press Release Sunday, January 22, 2012 P’que city gov’t extends business permit renewalPARAÑAQUE CITY, Jan. 22 (PIA) -- The city government of Parañaque has announced the extension of renewal of business permits.This, after the issuance of City Ordinance No.12-01, Series of 2012 which states: the payment of local business taxes, fees and charges without penalties and surcharges is extended from January 20, 2012 to January 31, 2012 provided that the application for renewal of business permit has been filed at the Business Permits and Licensing Office on or before January 27, 2011 and the taxes, fees or charges due thereon have been assessed by the City Treasurer’s Office. Parañaque City Mayor Jun Bernabe said the extension was made to give added time for establishments to prepare the required documents, likewise to accommodate the influx of investors and growing business population of the city. Likewise, it is also intended to prevent the rush of last minute payments. “As a kind and caring city government, we have adopted business-friendly programs. Apart from the deadline extension, the city government receives kudos for its one-stop shop set-up; fully-computerized system; and anti-fixer/red tape safeguards that guarantee fidelity, accuracy and speed of transactions; and the comfort our fully air-conditioned service lounges provide,” said Bernabe. Taxpayers will also be given priority to park at the city hall grounds for their convenience. Meanwhile, establishments are reminded that the City Treasury will only accept cash and manager’s or cashier’s checks written in favor of the City Treasurer of Parañaque as payment.
