‘KKK’ festival highlights Cabagan, Isabela Patronal fiestaby Thelma C. Bicarme
CABAGAN, Isabela, Jan.23 (PIA)-- The municipality of Cabagan is presently celebrating its Patronal Town Fiesta from January 16-25 in honor of St. Paul the Apostle, the patron saint of Cabagan.
Highlighting this year’s fiesta is the Kabayo-Kalesa-Kutchero (KKK) Festival, a horse-drawn calesa, which is dressed-up and paraded.
Other activities lined up during the 10-day Patronal Town Fiesta include: Palarong Bayan and parlor games for local elementary school children; Invitational Derby sponsored by Balikabayans coming home for the fiesta; 2012 Cabagan Sensation, a regionwide invitational Singing Competition; Fitness Exhibition led by the Office of Senior Citizens Association (OSCA); Mayor Topi Luzon Island Best Dance Crew Showdown; Cabagan Singing Stars, the local version of American Idol, and Concert at the Park.
‘Pansi Cabagan’ Cooking Contest will also conducted to be participated by the 26 barangays of Cabagan.
According to the office of Mayor Mamauag, all day activities are being conducted at the Cabagan Square Park, in front of the Municipal Town Hall of Cabagan. (TCB/PIA 2)
