PNP targets ISO certificationQUEZON CITY, Jan. 24 (PIA) -- Philippine National Police (PNP), Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said Tuesday that the agency is targeting to acquire certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on Quality Management Systems.
Cruz said the ISO certification will validate that the services provided by the PNP to the public are in compliance to global standards.
This is also part of the reforms currently implemented in the PNP. Cruz added that they challenge the entire PNP personnel to be competitive and in par with their police counterpart all across the globe.
Some offices in the agency like the Office of the PNP Chief, Civil Security Group, PNP Crime Laboratory and PNP Fire Arms and Explosives Division have already received certification. PNP will continue to strengthen its efforts to acquire ISO certification for the the entire police agency.
