Diffun town launches Business One Stop Shopby Thelma C. Bicarme
DIFFUN, Quirino, Jan. 19 (PIA) -- The Business One Stop Shop (BOSS), a new business registration system intended to further simplify the process of doing business, was recently launched here.
Edelita G. Allas, business licensing officer, said the one-stop business center has reduced the duration of business registration processing and renewal of business permits as the business licensing agencies strategically converge in one area within the municipal hall.
Some of the agencies who participated in the BOSS program were the Bureau of Fire Protection, for the issuance of fire clearance; Department of Trade and Industry, for business name registration; and Rural Health Unit, for sanitary permits.
Allas said the Social Security System, Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth were also requested to participate in the program for the businessmen with employees who need to be registered.
Executive assistant Hensel Guillermo said the BOSS program is one of the initiatives of the municipal government headed by Mayor Marlo Guillermo, to facilitate fast business registration.
Guillermo said the program will run from January 2 to January 20 only but the municipal government is studying the possibility of establishing a permanent BOSS to cater to the needs of businessmen anytime. (TCB/PIA2-Quirino)
