9 orgs in Nueva Vizcaya benefit from DOLE’s P2M livelihood fund in 2011

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, January 19 (PIA) -- Nine livelihood organizations in this province have received funding assistance from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) last year, officials here bared.
Engr. Henry Balangatan, DOLE district head, said the livelihood assistance were handed to their Accredited Co-Partner(ACP) agencies who are mostly Local Government Units (LGUs).
“These ACP’s are our fellow partners in ensuring that the fund will be used solely for the purpose stated by the recipient – organizations including their preparation of pertinent documents such as liquidation papers,” Balangatan said.
The recipient organizations were: the Solano Municipal Association of Persons with Disabilities (SMAPD) with P200,000.00 for their canteen management venture; P300,000 for the Nueva Vizcaya Institute Employees Association (NVIEA) to fund their rice trading, wholesaling and retailing business; the Southern Aritao Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (SATODA) with P318,380 for their motorcycle spare parts, lubricants and service center; Rural Improvement Club of Villa Florentino(RICVF) in Bagabag town with P128,300 for their soft broom production; Diadi Abot Palad Meat Processors’ Association (DAPMP) with P134,335 for their meat processing venture; Tubongan Women’s Association (TWA) in Kayapa town with P130,000 for their peanut processing project; Displaced Workers Association in Sta. Fe town with P428,800 for their Emergency Employment Assistance Program (EEAP); Ambulant vendors in Villaverde town with P300,000 for their Nego Kart business; and skilled workers in Villaverde with P110,000 for their starter kits.
