Edale, Jr. CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, January 19 (PIA) -- The city’s Rescue 922 has proven its worth and existence in responding to emergencies that are happening in the city with the positive feedbacks coming from their clients. Ester Tamayo, one of the patients served by the city’s rescue unit last year, said she texted the hotline of Rescue 922 when she suffered from hypertension and immediately, the the Rescue 922 personnel responded by going to her place and bringing her to the nearest hospital for treatment. Rescue 922 chief Ronald Viloria in the report posted in their Facebook account said ordinary citizens and Cauayenos residing even in the far flung barangays who need emergency assistance of the Rescue 922 are immediately responded for as long as they call or text them. He added that even before, during and after calamities, Rescue 922 is always on alert to respond to residents who need emergency assistance like rescue, relief and retrieval operations as it possess vital equipments for the said operations. Viloria said that months after the creation of the city’s rescue unit, the city government has provided the necessary equipment and manpower to make the rescue unit effective and operational. Viloria, in their Facebook account, has also reported a total emergency responses of 1,467 which involved vehicular accidents, mauling and stabbing and other cases. He also said that a total of 877 patients were transported to their hospital of choice or from hospital to their residence.
