Tagalog news: “No Smoking Zone” na ang buong Koronadal City Hall Complex

KORONADAL CITY, Enero 25 (PIA) -- Idineklara na ni Koronadal City Mayor Peter B. Miguel na “No Smoking Zone” ang buong Koronadal City Hall Complex. Ito ayon sa punong-bayan ay upang magsilbing modelo at masimulan sa sariling bakuran ang pagpapatupad ng Republic Act 9211 at ng lokal na anti-smoking ordinance.

Umaasa si Mayor Miguel na nawa’y magsilbi umanong modelo ang lokal na pamahalaan sa iba pang mga ahensiya ng gobyerno at mga pribadong institusyon na nasa sakop ng lungsod ang pagsunod sa mga ipinagbabawal na paninigarilyo sa mga pampublikong lugar.

Sinabi rin ni Miguel na kaniya umanong isusunod ang pagbabawal ng paninigarilyo sa iba pang mga pasilidad at mga sangay ng Pamahalaang Panglungsod kasama na rito ang mga pamilihan ng lungsod.

Nagtalaga na rin ng “smoking area” sa labas ng gusali ng bagong Koronadal City Hall bilang pagtalima Batas ng Anti-Smoking, subalit hinikayat pa rin ni Mayor Miguel ang mga kawani na huminto sa paninigarilyo at sundin ang malusog na pamumuhay.

Ang sinumang mahuhuli na naglalabag sa batas at lokal na ordinansa ay magbabayad ng P500 hanggang P1,000 para sa unang offense at maaaring itaas sa hanggang P10,000 sa mga susunod pang paglabag. (ac agad PIA12)
