PIA Press Release Thursday, January 26, 2012 Mobile library to benefit Cauayan City students by Merlito G. Edale, Jr. CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela, January 26 (PIA) -- Students in the city will soon benefit from the mobile library that was purchased by the city government last year. City librarian Analiza Melecio said the mobile library is still undergoing repair. “It is a two-deck bus to be used as research areas for students: the first deck for e-library where internet and computers will be installed and the second deck will be for students who need reference books for their research or assignments,” Melecio said. She said the mobile library, when repaired, will be moving around the city schools even in far flung barangays to give free library services. She also said Mayor Benjamin G. Dy and officials of the city government have seen the necessity of providing the said mobile library to help students for their research needs. Aside from the mobile library, the city government has also provided the city residents last year with a mobile clinic catering the health needs of Cauayenos. A well-equipped ambulance was also provided by the city government to the city’s Rescue 922 in same year. (TCB/MGE/PIA- Isabela) |
