BulayunganLAGAWE, Ifugao, Jan 26(PIA) -- The Schools Division Office here issued to all district supervisors and heads of public elementary schools in the province the policies and guidelines on the allocation of basic learning packages for kindergarten classes. The Instructional Materials Council Secretariat (IMCS) has allocated funds from the 2012 Textbook Funds and subsequent appropriations until School Year 2015 to provide Basic Learning Packages to schools implementing the Kindergarten Education Program. The Department of Education also informed the school heads that the Bureau of Elementary Education provided selected elementary schools with kindergarten classes with story books as part of the Kindergarten Basic Learning Packages in SY 2010. In addition to these packages, IMCS will provide supplementary reading materials, manipulative toys and workbooks that were selected or developed by the divisions. The quantities per title will be based on enrollment as reported in the Basic Education Information System. A maximum of 30 copies per title of reading materials and workbooks and a complete set of manipulative set of toys per class will be delivered to the school districts which will manage the distribution to the recipient kindergarten classes. School heads were advised to distribute the materials not later than one month after receipt of the delivery and the Division Office shall submit a distribution report not later than two months upon completion of distribution report to the recipient kindergarten classes not later than three months after it received the packages.
