PIA Press Release Friday, January 27, 2012 Carmona donates cash to Sendong victimsCARMONA, Cavite, January 27 (PIA) -- The local government of this premier municipality headed by Mayor Dahlia Loyola recently turned-over P 63,320.00 to the victims of typhoon Sendong to assist them to recover from the tragedy. The amount collected was formally turned-over by the municipal government to Cagayan de Oro Representative Rufus Rodriguez at the Congress Hall at Batasan Hills in Quezon City last week. According to Mayor Loyola the cash donations came from the municipal employees including the amount donated by the Sangguniang Kabataan headed by SK Federation Chair RJ Loyola. Last month, the local government of Bacoor accepted donations from individuals, groups and businessmen to help their kababayans in CDO and in Iligan Cities who are most affected by the typhoon Sendong. Donations poured in at the Public Information Office (PIO) which includes medicines, clothing, foods and blankets. According to Ms. Khei Sanchez, Chief of Public Information Office (PIO) and currently president of the Cavite Communicator’s Network (CCN), this move of the local government is a show of support and compassion to the innocent victims of the natural calamities.
