Tagalog news: Flood-prone at landslide-prone areas sa Batangas, tinukoy

BATANGAS CITY, Enero 28 (PIA) --Natukoy na ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang mga flood/landslide-prone areas sa lalawigan.

Batay sa geohazard assessment na ginawa ng Mines and Goesciences Bureau (MGB), ang mga lugar na kritikal sa landslide ay ang mga bayan ng Laurel, Mataas na Kahoy, Cuenca, Lipa City, Tuy, Calaca, Mabini, San Juan at Rosario.

Sa kabilang banda, ang mga natukoy na lugar na maaring mangyari ang pagbaha ay ang Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan, Tuy, Balayan, Calaca, Lemery, Taal, San Luis, Bauan, San Pascual, Batangas City, Lobo, Laurel, Talisay at Tanauan City.

Binigyang-diin ng DENR na kinakailangan ang ibayong pag-iingat at paghahanda upang makaiwas sa anumang sakuna na tulad ng sinapit sa Mindanao. Nanawagan din sila sa mga lokal na opisyal at mamamayan na gawin ang mga kinakailangang paghahanda at plano kung sakaling mangyari ang mga bagay na ito upang hindi matulad sa ibang lugar na marami ang nagbuwis ng buhay.

Anila,nararapat ding laging handa ang bawat lokal na pamahalaan sa kanilang mga kagamitan at evacuation centers sakaling may mangyaring trahedya kaugnay nito.(MPDC, PIA-Batangas)
