PRO-6 reminds newly promoted personnel of responsibility

ILOILO CITY, Jan 30 (PIA6) -- Promotion to the next higher rank entails more power and more responsibility, according to Police Chief Supt. Cipriano Querol, Jr. of Police Regional Office-6.

Querol led the ceremonial pinning of the rank insignias to 64 police officers from PRO-6, representing the 1,137 promoted Police Commissioned and Police Non-Commissioned Officers in Western Visayas recently.

On top of the newly promoted officers is Police Supt. Kim P. Legada of the PRO-6 Operations and Plans Division.

Querol said the promotion is an achievement, which carries responsibility and a mission which is to fulfill all duties and responsibilities assigned to the ranks and position.

He also added that he recognized the long wait, the intense and tedious process which those promoted have underwent before finally getting the fruit of their labor.

Police Sr. Inspector Sally Manuel, Regional Information Officer said in a press release that the distribution of Police Non-Commissioned Officers who were promoted per province is as follows: Aklan-92; Antique-88; Bacolod City-103; Capiz-124; Guimaras-37; Iloilo City-93; Iloilo-199; Negros Occidental-184; Regional Headquarters-61; Regional Public Safety Battalion-7; and 58 from the PNP National support Units.

For the Police Commissioned Officers, there is a total of 91 with 85 from PRO-6 and six from the PNP National Support Units. (PIO/JCM/ESS/PIA-Iloilo)
