Tagalog News: Exchange Study Program ng Korea at Puerto Princesa, inilunsad

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, Enero 31 (PIA) -- Inilunsad kamakailan ang pagkakaroon ng palitan ng mga mag-aaral o exchange student scholars sa pagitan ng Dongyang Mirae University (DMU) ng bansang Korea at ng Palawan Technological College Institute (PTCI) sa Puerto Princesa. Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng memorandum of understanding (MOU) na nilagdaan nina Dr. Suk-Yong Jeung, head professor ng DMU at PTCI President Celestino Maulion, Sr.

Ayon kay PTCI Pres. Maulion, sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nakipag-kasundo ang bansang Korea sa Puerto Princesa na magkaroon ng exchange student scholars sa Pilipinas.

Ang DMU, ani Maulion ay 20 taon na mayroong exchange students sa mga bansang Malaysia, Taiwan at Congo simula nang ito ay maitatag noong 1974 ngunit kauna-unahan ito sa Pilipinas at mga taga-Puerto Princesa pa ang napiling magiging benepisyaryo.

Ngayong taon inaasahang sisimulang tumanggap ng DMU ng exchange students mula sa Pilipinas sa pamamagitan ng PTCI.

Pinakilala ng DMU sa lungsod ang Learning Management System kung saan magkakaroon ng open courseware consortium sa pagitan ng DMU at PTCI.

Ang e-learning industry ay malaking bahagi ng information technology (IT) resources sa bansang Korea at napili nila ang Puerto Princesa dahil sa tourism potential nito. (LBR/OCJ/PIA4B-Palawan)
