Tagalog News: Tapul Reef, ipinapadeklarang fish sanctuary

PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan, Enero 31 (PIA) -- Ipinapadeklarang fish sanctuary ang may 40 ektarya ng Tapul Reef na matatagpuan sa Bgy. Salvacion ng lungsod.

Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng Resolusyon No. 63-2012 na ini-akda ni Konsehal Gregorio “Rocky” Austria na siya ring Chairman ng Committee on Environment Protection and Natural Resources.

Ayon kay Austria, malaking bagay para sa mga residente ng nasabing lugar kung maidi-deklarang fish sanctuary ang 40 ektarya ng Tapul Reef dahil ito ay isa sa mga lugar na tinitirhan ng mga isda at kung sakaling masala-ula at masira pa ang nasabing lugar ay maaaring maubusan ng suplay ng isda ang mga residente dito.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagiging fish sanctuary ng Tapul Reef, ani Austria ay napapangalagaan ang pagiging sustainable nito at malaki ang maitutulong nito sa mga mangingisdang naninirahan sa nasabing barangay sa pagkakaroon ng sapat na suplay ng mahuhuling isda.

Kahapon sa isinagawang sesyon ng Sangguniang Panglungsod ay inaprubahan sa ikalawang pagbasa ang nasabing ordinansa. Ito ani Austria ay matagal nang hinihiling ng mga residente ng lugar. (LBR/OCJ/PIA4B-Palawan)
