Twenty-five year old Josephine Magallanes and 11-month Jerlymae are among the 144 mothers together with their babies who joined in the breastfeeding activity at the Jaro Covered Gym, Iloilo City yesterday. The activity dubbed, “Sabay-Sabay Sumuso sa Nanay Year 2” aimed to establish the country as the First Guinness World Record Holder on simultaneous breastfeeding in multiple sites. Currently, Philippines holds the world record for the simultaneous breastfeeding in a single site when it successfully gathered 3,541 breastfeeding mothers in San Andres Sports Complex in Manila on May 4, 2006.
