LIONS MEDICAL MISSION: Lions Club District 301-B had a Medical Mission last December 4-5, 2008 in Student Activity Center of Cebu State College of Science and Technology Main Campus serving close to 200 beneficiaries comprising of students, faculty, and some residents of Cebu City's port area where the school is located. The Lions Medical Mission was held in cooperation with Cebu City Government's Gender and Development Office and CSCST. The said activity was aimed at helping the government address particularly the eye problems of the citizenry specially the underprivileged. Member optometricians, opthalmologists, and volunteers who are also Lion members helped make the activity successful. Late last year, the Lions Club in Cebu City inaugurated the only Lions Eye Bank in Southeast Asia that articulates the organization's continued cause in fighting blindness in this part of the world.
