 Fish for Life: The Tour of Exhibits for the "Fish for Life", the First National Fisherfolk Technology and Livelihood festival conducted by the BFAR (Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources), was formally opened at Cha-Li Beach Resort in Cagayan de Oro City. Gov. Oscar Moreno of Misamis Oriental (third from left) and Atty. Malcolm Sarmiento Jr. (third from right), the National Director of BFAR, led the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Looking on are officials of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro City, BFAR Regional Office 10, NAPC-AFSC (National Anti-Poverty Commission-Artisanal Fisherfolk Sector), the National Fisherfolk Sector, along with Regional Fisherfolk Directors from all over the country. The "Fish for Life" is a 3-day conference and technology exhibit designated to provide fisherfolk leaders, students and other interested parties a venue for technological advances, micro-financing schemes and towards the end, expected to prepare a project proposal for a livelihood project.
