 MISS MAHINOG TOURISM 2009: Ivy Mirzi T. Javier in her swimwear attire during the pre-pageant pictorials at Mantigue Island in Mahinog, Camiguin, which is fast becoming into a world class eco-toursim destination due to the its powdery white sand, crystal clear seas, lush forest and wild life. Miss Javier is the daughter of Ariel Javier and Ruby Tabasa from Benoni, Mahinog; 17 years old and incoming 2nd year student in BS Business Administration at Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City. Miss Javier will represent Mahinog to the annual search for Miss Camiguin Tourism this coming Camiguin Lanzones Festival in October. As the reigning Miss Mahinog, she will be the town's official ambassador of goodwill and will be actively involved in promoting the town's rich culture, arts and tourism and instills a spirit of community involvement among the youth. She also won the eco tourism essay writing contest which is part of the competition. Other winners were: Ira Joy J. Sasil, 1st Runner Up Miss Mahinog-Mantigue Island; Loryvic Jo. G. Macamay, 2nd Runner Up Miss Mahinog-Macao Spring; Mae Shela T. Alingasa, 3rd Runner Up Miss Mahinog-Taguines Lagoon; Dara E. Caslam, 4th Runner Up Miss Mahinog-Queobe Eco Park.
