"In the interest of transparency, we are here to provide you information on the alleged disposal of soil or filling materials excavated from the Jaro Floodway that was brought to my attention," says Presidential Assistant for Western Visayas Dr. Raul Banias during a press conference called by his office in coordination with the Philippine Information Agency aimed to address the issue held in Iloilo City, May 15, 2009.
