 President Benigno Simeon Aquino III confers the Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management to Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc., (MSCI) represented by MSCI President Khun Surasak Kraiwitchaicharoen and Vice President for Manufacturing Khun Jiraphat Oebchokhai during the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) 13th conferment ceremony at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall, Malacaņang Thursday January 27, 2011. The award is given to an organization that has planted seeds of quality and productivity and is starting to venture on a quality journey. PQA is a national performance excellence program that recognizes achievements of public and private organizations in their journey towards organizational performance excellence. Patterned after the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program of the United States, the PQA is the highest award that can be received by any Philippine organization. It sets the global standard to help our local organizations achieve world-class performance and serve as a template for competitiveness based on the principles of Total Quality Management.
