DAVAO ORIENTAL'S RENEWABLE ENERGY: During the RED - TWG (Renewable Energy Development Technical Working Group) meeting on February 22, 2011 at the Capitol Grand Conference, Mr. Doy Samar of ENRO quoted in part the Hon. Governor Corazon N. Malanyaon, stressing the urgency of coming up for an alternative source of renewable energy, like the biomass driven technology to provide for the ever - growing demand. Especially so, that the province is now geared towards opening its various potentials for investors. Emphasizing further that she is determined to pursue all possible venues for socio-economic development in order not to fall short from the expectation of her constituents as to its alleviation from poverty. She clearly instructed the Technical Working Group to hasten its technical study on the matter for she believes that this could give a significant multiplier effect to livelihood and job opportunities to more than 45,000 households, believed to be living below poverty line.
