 BANGUS HARVEST IN AURORA. Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala (right) leads a ceremonial harvest of bangus from a fish cage at Aurora mariculture park, one the projects implemented by the Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR) in partnership with national and local officials, and provincial government of Aurora for the benefit of small fishermen, indigenous peoples and their families. The other DA-BFAR projects are: 32-fish cage livelihood project and mariculture park in Casiguran Bay; multi species fish hatchery, blue crab breeding and hatchery, and seaweed tissue culture laboratory, in Baler; and a multi species fish nursery and patrol boat in Dipaculao.
